WTF MoistCurl Premium Sulphate-Free Shampoo

MoistCurl is my premium wash and condition for curly hair. A sulphate-free shampoo that cleans your scalp without stripping your lengths, and a conditioner that puts moisture and slip back in.

Here's what most people get wrong. Curly hair doesn't need scrubbing clean. It needs a clean scalp and lengths that hang on to their moisture. Your scalp's natural oils struggle to travel down a curl, so the ends are already running dry. A harsh, foamy shampoo strips what little made it down there, and that's where a lot of frizz starts.

This one cleans gently and leaves the moisture where it belongs.

What's in it

Gentle coconut-based cleansers (lauryl glucoside and cocamidopropyl betaine) for a soft lather that doesn't strip. Aloe vera, argan and macadamia oil for moisture. Panthenol (vitamin B5) to help hold that moisture in. Hydrolysed soy protein and nettle for strength. Polyquaternium-7 and 10 for slip, so detangling is easier. Green tea, white tea and ginger to look after your scalp.

It smells of coconut, mandarin and orange.

Who it's for

Waves, curls and coils, 2A to 4C. Dry, frizzy or damaged curls, and colour-treated hair.

How to use it

Wet your hair right through with warm water. Massage a small amount into your scalp, not your lengths. Let the lather run down as you rinse, and don't scrub your curls. Rinse well, then follow with MoistCurl Conditioner.

Most curls do best washed 2 or 3 times a week. Over-washing strips the very moisture you're trying to keep.
